About Vapor Hub
Vapor Hub is an independent, information-only resource about vaping and e-cigarettes. This page explains what the site is, what it deliberately is not, and the principles that shape every page. In short: we explain, we cite, and we sell nothing.
Independent educational resource. Vapor Hub is an information-only reference. Nothing here is for sale, and nothing here encourages anyone to start using nicotine. Intended for adults of legal age (18+ in the UK and EU, 21+ in the United States). This is not medical advice — speak with a qualified professional about your own health. If you do not smoke or vape, the best choice is not to start.
What this resource is
The aim is narrow and, we hope, useful: to explain vaping accurately and neutrally for adults who want facts rather than sales copy. That means describing how the devices work, what is in e-liquid, how batteries can fail, how the law differs between countries, what the health evidence actually says, and where to find help quitting. Every claim of substance links to a primary source — the CDC, the NHS, the FDA, the European Commission, Cochrane, and similar bodies — so you can check it yourself rather than take our word for it.
What this resource is not
Vapor Hub is not a shop and never links to one. There are no products, no prices, no cart, no coupon codes, no affiliate links and no brand recommendations anywhere on the site. We do not encourage anyone to start using nicotine. On the contrary, the message repeated on every page is that if you do not already smoke or vape, the healthiest choice is not to begin. Where we describe device types or e-liquids, it is to make the vocabulary understandable, not to steer a purchase.
About the name
The name “Vapor Hub” previously belonged to a vape lounge and online store that has since closed. This site reuses the name only as an information hub on the same broad topic. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or a continuation of that former business or any current retailer, and it makes no claim to any brand, inventory or trademark. Any resemblance to the former store begins and ends with a shared subject matter.
Our editorial principles
- Evidence first. Substantive claims are sourced to recognised health and regulatory authorities, and we link to the originals.
- Honest about uncertainty. Vaping is newer than cigarettes, and long-term evidence is still developing. We say “less harmful than smoking,” not “safe,” and we flag where authorities disagree.
- Adults only. The site is intended for adults of legal age — 18+ in the UK and EU, 21+ in the US — and we support the age limits and youth-protection measures that public-health bodies advocate.
- Harm reduction, not promotion. For adult smokers, switching completely to a regulated product may be far less harmful than continuing to smoke; stopping nicotine entirely is better still. We never present vaping as harmless or desirable in itself.
- Not medical advice. Nothing here replaces a conversation with a doctor or a stop-smoking service.
How to use the site
If you are new to the subject, start with how vaping works and the glossary. If you are weighing the evidence, read health and harm-reduction and regulation. If your goal is to stop, go straight to quitting resources. And if you just have a specific question, the FAQ is the fastest route.
A closing word
Good information is a form of respect for the reader’s ability to make their own decisions. That is the entire purpose of this resource: to lay out what is known, and not known, clearly and without an agenda to sell, so that adults can reach their own conclusions. Thank you for reading carefully.
